Ever wonder how you could increase your seedling supply for more grafting opportunities? I happen to come across a goldmine while walking home after grabbing my lunch. I saw a huge pile of avocado seeds lying next to the trash of a Chipotle restaurant I couldnโ€™t believe my eyes but I understood as a business, they donโ€™t have any interest in trees. At that same moment, I was looking for cost effective fertilizer and noticed a Starbucks next door so I thought of coffee grinds as a great medium for my seeds. Now Starbucks was a bit more hesitant about my project and it took a lot of convincing to get Of course, you donโ€™t need to go to such great lengths to produce seedlings and simply buy your favorite fruits and plant the seeds with your daily coffee grinds.  

Though popular restaurant chains are used in this article, donโ€™t be afraid to network with your local mom and pop restaurants to see if theyโ€™ll save all types of seeds for you. Remember your typical Mexican restaurant cuisine would use lemons, guava, tomatoes, lime, avocado, tomatillo, perhaps more but you get the idea.
